It would have been nice to hang out for a while, as I had a lot of alone time to walk, walk, walk in the city. I love San Francisco and I'm happy to hear it is sunny because that and crack on the streets are my only two complaints. I've only witnessed a couple hours of sun. Are you staying in the Mission? My friend lives at 14th between Valencia and Mission. She works at the Booksmith on Haight and I"m sure is a good resource on 'when museums are free' and good info like that if you are interested.
